When we receive a submission to input a new profile on BOWP, this will include a response to the following questions:

Photographer Profile Information

1) The business name under which you want to appear.

2) The domain name or URL to which you would like to direct readers.

3) Your home location. If you are based in the US, this location should include the largest nearby metropolitan city and the state. If you are based in Canada, the location should include the city and province.  If you are based elsewhere, the location should include the city and country.

4) Other locations. Please give us two other major locations (countries or US states) in which you would like to be listed. You are also free to choose up to six cities total (all must be within your home country/state or your two additional countries/states).

5) Bio or description. Please submit the bio or description you would like to see on your profile page. This description can be as short or as long as you like. On average, we recommend a couple of well-written paragraphs. Please think of this as marketing copy that should convey your unique style, personality, and branding, and encourage readers to click through to your site.

6) Images. Every profile will have a single large “lead” image as well as an optional gallery of up to 9 images. So you may send up to ten images including your lead image and gallery. The lead image will be the largest image on your profile page, and the basis of the thumbnail that represents you on the home page, so please choose an outstanding image that conveys your finest work. Your lead image should be a LANDSCAPE or horizontal image of conventional 3X2 aspect ratio. All images can be low resolution (but not less than 800 pixels in the longest dimension). You can send those to us via email or any other preferred method.

STEP ONE: ACKNOWLEDGE RECEIPT OF TICKET

Respond to the ticket acknowledging receipt with this canned response: BOWP > Response to BOWP New Profile Information Submitted.

STEP TWO: COMPLETE FRESHDESK FIELDS

Ticket: Tag - BOWP Profile   l   Type - Account/Membership   l   Group: BOWP   l   Status - Pending

Edit contact details with the correct name. Under Title, put in the name of the wedding photographer's studio/business name.

Note: We can complete this work within the next couple of business days if the workload is heavy.

When you start working on the ticket:

STEP THREE: PREPARING THE IMAGES

First save the images in one of your directories.

Run Photo Mechanic  -- Google Drive (https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/15HA6RY21IOck9jw7cm4qq3AMGtK8Teikhttps://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/15HA6RY21IOck9jw7cm4qq3AMGtK8Teik) -- PM5SetupR15800.exe to rename the images.

Select the images in Photo Mechanic by highlighting. File: Rename

from the directory that you saved them in (if a zip file, you need to extract them first before starting Photo Mechanic up), enter the Studio_Name_{seqn} (The Lead Image should always be _001.) Note: Please use three digits for when renaming images i.e. 002, 003, etc. Our hard-coded interface does not understand the number 10 -- so if you named the images 1,2,3 -- the number 10 would display as 1 again.

Select Set _{seqn} variable and enter 001.

Press OK.

Export Images to your own personal directory:

Here are a few screen captures of the fields:

  • You will receive a bunch of files i.e. Delete all but the images folder. You can also delete the HTML files so only the images are left:

Note: The important thing is that the Max Width and Max Height for Images should both be 600

STEP FOUR: COPY ALL THE BIO INFORMATION FROM THE TICKET to a text document (or something similar).

Read over for spelling, grammar, etc. -- edit if necessary.

Copy the name of the first image to a text file and add .jpg (e.g. Sunshine_Studio_001.jpg to copy into the profile later)

STEP SIX: INPUT POST

Copy the bio information into the next field. After you have input the bio text into the post, add a hyperlink to the member's website with the base city location + wedding photographer i.e. if the photographer is located in Athens, it would look something like this: <a href="https://elenidona.com/">Athens wedding photographer</a>.

Under Feature Image on the right-hand side, click on Set Featured Image

and it will bring you to the media library and click on the lead Image for that photographer (001.jpg). You will see the data filled in on the right hand side under Attachment Details. Click Set Featured Image.
